Weekend Festivities

Good times with good people.

Friday was the birthday jaunt with the gang. Food and drinks at Timmy Nolan's, drinks at Nobar then more drinks at Tonga Hut. I think Tonga Hut is what drilled me over because I don't recall much of the antics there, especially the ride home. Yikes. I paid for it about an hour after I came home to the porcelain god.

Saturday I was supposed to head over to Hacienda Hts. to relax by Brandi's parents' pool while she shopped with Tran for their friend's wedding. Well, lets just say I never left bed and woke up about an hour before Brandi came home in the afternoon. We ended up renting the Bill Murray "Steve Zissou" movie and really enjoyed it.

Sunday we felt alot better. Headed to see the Wonka remake with Ellie on the IMAX at 11am. The visuals were stunning, the design was great, but the story was so-so. Some characters were removed and new ones added. Brandi was creeped out by the Oompa Loompas while I liked Depp's sarcasm. Its not Burton's best, but its better than Apes or Big Fish.
